ABOUT WILDWOOD BASKETRY GUILD

Wildwood Basketry Guild has 35 current members. We meet each month, on the second Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at Willoughby Hills Community Center - Senior Center Room. The Community Center is located at 35400 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills, Ohio 44094.

The Wildwood Basket Guild was formed to help stimulate an interest in the art of basketry. In holding to its mission we often have weaving projects at our monthly meetings, our conference WinterWeave held every February, and during the remainder of the year we hold many weekend workshops.

In the past, we enjoyed classes from Kay and Fred Kohler, Kathy Tessler, Sharon Klusmann, Ann Bowers, Laura Lee Zanger, Sandy and Steve Atkinson, Flo Hoppe and Marilyn Parr. We've made everything from Nantuckets, to pine needle weavings and everyting in between! We were introduced to various types of weaving as well as new and different materials.

Try it out, then consider becoming an active member of Wildwood Basketry Guild, and taking advantage of the great benefits of being a member.

To join, mail your name, address, phone (work and home), email address, a check payable to Wildwood Basketry Guild for $10 and a check payable to Willoughby Hills Seniors, Inc. for $7.

You do not need to be a senior to join the Guild or participate in our events.

This is the year we had a picnic lunch & lecture on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome outside on Saturday, and an ice storm on Sunday!
