About
Wildwood Basketry Guild
Wildwood
Basketry Guild has 35 current members. We meet each month, on the third
Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Wildwood Cultural Center, 7645
Little Mountain Road, Mentor, OH 44060. The Guild was formed to help
stimulate an interest in the art of basketry. In holding to its mission
we often have weaving projects at our monthly meetings, put on Winter
Weave™ each February and during the remainder of the year hold
workshops. See our website and blog
for more info.
Wildwood Cultural Center, a renovated 97 year-old English Tudor mansion, with its beautiful grounds and cozy classrooms offers the perfect setting for our meetings and especially for Winterweave.
You don't have to be a member to participate in upcoming workshops.
In the past, we enjoyed the appearances of Kay and Fred Kohler, Dori
Maier and Diane Masi,, Ann Bowers, and Jill Choate! We made great Nantuckets,
antler, and pine needle weavings. We were introduced to various types of weaving as well as new and different materials. Email
us at winter.weave@yahoo.com to find out about upcoming events. Come join us!
Try it out, then consider
becoming an active member of Wildwood Basketry Guild, and taking advantage of
the benefits of being a member. To join, mail your name, address, phone (work
and home), email address, a check payable to Wildwood Basketry Guild
for $10 and a check payable to Wildwood Cultural Center for $15 to:
