About Wildwood Basketry Guild

Wildwood Basketry Guild has 35 current members. We meet each month, on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Wildwood Cultural Center, 7645 Little Mountain Road, Mentor, OH 44060.

Wildwood Cultural Center, a renovated 97 year-old English Tudor mansion, with its beautiful grounds and cozy classrooms offers the perfect setting for our meetings and especially for Winterweave.

The Guild was formed to help stimulate an interest in the art of basketry. In holding to its mission we often have weaving projects at our monthly meetings, our conference WinterWeave held every February, and during the remainder of the year we hold many weekend workshops.

In the past, we enjoyed classes from Kay and Fred Kohler, Dori Maier and Diane Masi, Ann Bowers, Laura Lee Zanger, Sandy and Steve Atkinson, Flo Hoppe and Jill Choate! We've made great Nantuckets, antler, and pine needle weavings. We were introduced to various types of weaving as well as new and different materials.

Email us at Charweave@gmail.com for more information. Come join us!
