About Wildwood Basketry Guild

Wildwood Basketry Guild has 48 current members. We meet each month, on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Wildwood Cultural Center, 7645 Little Mountain Road, Mentor, OH 44060. The Guild was formed to help stimulate an interest in the art of basketry. In holding to its mission we often have weaving projects at our monthly meetings, put on Winter Weave™ each February and during the remainder of the year hold workshops.

Wildwood Cultural Center, a renovated 97 year-old English Tudor mansion, with its beautiful grounds and cozy classrooms offers the perfect setting for our meetings and especially for Winterweave.

Non-Members are welcome to participate in upcoming workshops. 2008 saw the appearances of Kay and Fred Kohler, Judy Wilson, Sharon Klusmann, and Cass Schorsch! We made great Nantuckets, waxed linen (coiled and twined!) and bark weavings. We were introduced to various types of weaving as well as new and different materials.

Also, consider becoming a member of Wildwood Basketry Guild, and taking advantage of the benefits of being a member. Send your name, address, phone (work and home), email address, a check payable to Wildwood Basketry Guild for $10 and a check payable to Wildwood Cultural Center for $15 to WBG Treasurer, Patti Watson, 102 Southwyck, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022.
